My name is Joshua Kolodziej, I am a Boy Scout in Troop 298. Currently, I am working on my Eagle Scout Project. I am fundraising to purchase and erect a 30 ft flagpole at the Town of Dewey town hall building, 430 Dewey Drive, Stevens Point WI. This will include landscaping and a plaque dedicating it to veterans, service members and volunteers that serve our country and community. The total cost for the project is estimated at $1,900, and any excess funds will be left for the Town of Dewey to maintain the flagpole or upgrade the plaque and landscaping. I am planning to construct the flagpole in the Spring of 2020. I am hoping this flagpole and dedication becomes a community effort, and the project can be a meaningful reminder of the importance of service to our great country and community.
